Ghanaian producer Ray Michael Djan Jr co-writes Chelsea’s new anthem with King Promise

Ghanaian producer Ray Michael Djan Jr has co-written and produced Chelsea FC’s new anthem, “Can’t Tame Us”, alongside singer King Promise. The track, created at Ray’s London-based SW6 Studios, blends Afrobeats elements with the club’s identity.
Ray said the collaboration offers a platform to display Ghanaian creativity to a worldwide audience, adding that both he and King Promise are proud of their roots. He noted that the idea emerged from discussions with Chelsea and the desire to incorporate a Ghanaian influence into the club’s music.
Beyond the anthem, Ray’s involvement with Chelsea extends to the Blue Creator Collective, part of the club’s foundation, which supports emerging creatives. Through his Paradisus Studios in Aburi, he has hosted local artists such as King Promise, Black Sherif and Sarkodie, and aims to bring more international music projects to Ghana.
Ray hopes the project will inspire further partnerships between Ghanaian talent and global brands, football clubs and entertainment companies, saying the experience is especially meaningful as a lifelong Chelsea fan.
