Ghanaian gospel artist Ruth Rufet Adjei has launched a new single titled “Agyesɛ Woa (Except You)”. The prayerful song, released on 9 October 2026, underscores the need to keep Jesus Christ at the centre of one’s life, presenting Him as the foundation for human effort and achievement.
Inspired by a period of prayer and reflection on living without Christ, the track references Psalm 127:1, which teaches that human endeavours are futile without the Lord’s involvement. Through the lyrics, Adjei encourages listeners to seek God’s presence in every aspect of life and to trust in His sustaining power through challenges.
“Agyesɛ Woa” adds to Adjei’s expanding gospel catalogue, which includes earlier songs such as “Yesu Mo”, “Woye Yesu”, “Ma Menye Dewo”, “Thank You Lord” featuring Efe Grace and “Almighty God”, as well as previous albums “Liquid Prayers” (2014), “Mercy Seat” (2019) and “Covered” (2023).
