Stacy Mense’s debut single ‘W’ahyira Me’ gains strong airplay across Ghana

Originally reported by Citi Newsroom

Ghanaian contemporary gospel artist Stacy Mense has seen her debut single “W’ahyira Me” receive extensive airplay and solid performance on digital platforms since its release in July. The song, which celebrates God’s goodness and blessings, has resonated with listeners and is currently charting well.

Mense, whose full name is Anastasia Hannah Amuzu, combines her roles as a singer, songwriter, worship leader and registered nurse. Her musical journey began in childhood, singing alto with her siblings in a family band, and later continued through involvement with church worship teams, gospel groups such as Victorious Sisters, One Family and Marko and the Urban Worshippers, and collaborations with established Ghanaian gospel musicians.

The artist describes the track as a personal testimony of faith, urging listeners to recognise divine favour even in challenging seasons. She views gospel music as a means of worship, encouragement and healing, rather than mere entertainment. Alongside her music ministry, Mense serves in nursing, noting that the compassion and care required in healthcare inform her approach to songwriting and worship.

Stacy Mense currently worships with Lighthouse Chapel International in Liverpool and remains connected to Ghanaian churches during visits, maintaining her ties to the communities that shaped her artistic and spiritual development.
